Nicomaine Dei Capili Mendoza, popularly known as Maine Mendoza or Yaya Dub was on born March 3,1995 in Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines. YayaDub is a Filipina YouTube sensation, Internet and and later find her luck as a TV celebrity comedian.\
She currently appears in the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! airing on GMA Network and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV with Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros and Jose Manalo. Mendoza's career took off after herDubsmash compilation, in which she impersonates Kris Aquino, went viral with one million views overnight.
Mendoza is from Sta. Maria, Bulacan and is the fourth of five siblings. She finished elementary and high school in St. Paul College in Bocaue, Bulacan and graduated from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde of Culinary Arts. She pursued on the job training at The Sagamore resort in Bolton Landing, New York.
Queen of Dubsmash to Eat Bulaga's Yaya Dub
Mendoza began posting Dubsmash compilations on Facebook where one of the videos she posted got a million views over a period of 24 hours. This earned her the tag as the "Queen of Dubsmash." This opened several opportunities for Mendoza. She had the opportunity to collaborate with many other Dubsmashers, met Kris Aquino herself and auditioned for Eat Bulaga. Subsequently, she was cast as Yaya Dub, the nanny of Wally Bayola's character, Lola Nidora, in the Juan For All, All For Juan segment of Eat Bulaga.
She is now officially considered as an Eat Bulaga Dabarkads and took part in Eat Bulaga's 36th year anniversary celebration, competing in the show's Bulaga Pa More: Dabarkads Pa More segment.
The AlDub Fever
Mendoza's character "Yaya Dub" is now paired with her Eat Bulaga co-host Alden Richards, in a rom-com/drama sketch titled as "KalyeSerye: #KiligPaMore", from the Filipino words "Kalye" (road/street, as Yaya Dub is mostly on the streets for their scenes) and "Serye" (series, as in a televised serial fiction). Fans refer to their loveteam as "AlDub", and the so-called kilig love-team have trended on Twitter both in the Philippines and worldwide numerous times.
Due to the popularity of the loveteam, fans are requesting for an AlDub drama series and movie. Fan-made trailers have gone viral, online including a pitched remake of the hit Koreanovela My Love from the Star, which has been acknowledged by GMA Network.The other half of AlDub, Alden Richards, signed a four-year movie contract with APT Entertainment, the movie outfit of Eat Bulaga's TAPE Inc..Because of this, fans are waiting for Mendoza to sign a contract, as well, to indicate that AlDub would be making a film.
Mendoza and Richards are set to appear in the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Romcom-in Mo Ako. The movie stars Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai de las Alas as lead roles and is to be directed by Jose Javier Reyes.
On August 8, 2015, Mendoza fainted during the YaKie wedding scene in their sketch for the day. Because of her character's reluctance to get married, everybody thought her fainting was part of the script. Their sketch was broadcast live, as is the entire Eat Bulaga! program, so Mendoza's castmates who were in the scene, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and on-screen love interest Alden Richards, improvised to escort her out smoothly and continue on with the show. Mendoza herself turned to social media to address the incident, and she assured fans that she received proper medical care and is in better condition after fainting because of fatigue.
